Who are we?
Homeroom Interactive is a group of hobbyists who joined together based on common interests. We each had a desire to pursue creative outlets and felt that the combination of our skills and ideas could produce a unique gaming experience.
What do we do?
Homeroom Interactive specializes in making visual novels, a sub-genre of video games that synthesizes art, storytelling, music, and graphical interfaces to create engaging plots that emotionally engage audiences. Playing a visual novel is akin to reading an interactive book, as the story's narrative alters depending on choices players select at integral points in the plot. Not only does this create more replayability for the reader, but it also adds to the immersion effect of the game since the player directly effects the sequence of events.
How do we do it?
The unique aspect to Homeroom Interactive is that no single staffmember can create a visual novel on his or her own. Instead, we combine our various skillsets in a collaborative effort through which we all share in the excitement of crafting a special story. Everyone works together each step of the way, and we all share the burdens and successes that come with the development process.
Why do we do it?
Whether it be movies, books, tv shows, or video games, all of us enjoy engaging storytelling. After being inspired by other projects, each of us, in our own ways, resolved to use our creative abilities to make something special that we could contribute publicly for the enjoyment of others: not for money or glory, but for the joy of seeing our ideas come to life.
